Peach-leaved willow is one of two, native, large-tree willows (the other is black willow, S. nigra). The other willows are shrubs or small trees. Peach-leaved willow grows along streams and lakeshores on moist or wet, silty or sandy soil. It has pretty, teardrop-shaped leaves with a long tapering tip.
